Toss It Around: Strength Training with Medicine Balls

Are you ready to start a regular exercise program? Do you want to feel better and have more energy?
This free program will help increase strength, flexibility and balance.

It’s fun, easy and free! If you complete the program, you will receive three medicine balls.
About the program:
- 60-minute sessions twice a week for 12 weeks
- Exercises use medicine balls
- Program consists of a warm-up, nine exercises, and a cool-down
What is a medicine ball?
A medicine ball is a weighted ball similar in size to a basketball or volleyball. They are available in various weights. Participants will be provided with a set of medicine balls for use in the program.
To be eligible for this program, participants must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Not be currently engaged in a regular exercise program
- Be able to commit to meeting 2 times a week for 12 weeks
- Attend orientation Wednesday, Sept. 5, 10:00 a.m.
Classes will meet on Monday and Wednesday, September 10 – December 5, at 10:00 a.m. in the aerobics room in the ANC Briggs/Sebaugh Wellness Center. Orientation is Wednesday, September 4, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., in the Adams/Vines Gallery.
