Native American Folklore and Medicine Bag will meet Thursday, February 21, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Blytheville Public Library. The class is sponsored by the Mississippi County Library System and in cooperation with ANC. The fee is $5. This class is fun for all ages and designed for boy scouts and girl scouts for earning merit badges
Come and learn from a former colonial Williamsburg living history interpreter, John Holt, about Native American Indian folklore and medicine bags. Traditionally, medicine bags held special protection medicines or healing herbs. Students will enjoy learning folklore as they handcraft their own medicine bag from leather, decorated with glass and metal beads and fill with herbs. All supplies are provided. This class is fun for all ages.
