Are you ready to improve your health? Have you decided it is time for you to start exercising regularly? A regular exercise program can help with weight management, reduce diabetes and stroke risk, increase energy levels, and improve overall sense of well-being.
The University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture, Cooperative Extension Service in Mississippi County free fitness program is to help adults increase strength, flexibility, and balance. This 12-week program uses weighted balls, called medicine balls, to improve fitness in a fun and relaxed 60-minute class. The class will be instructed by Pam Pruett, County Extension Family and Consumer Sciences Agent, who has been trained to lead the program. Medicine balls will be provided to participants. Students completing the program will receive three medicine balls.
To participate in the program, you must be 18 years or older and not currently engaged in a regular exercise program. Space is limited to 20 students. Registration
To register please call Lena Ellington, ANC Department of Community Education, (870) 762-3167 or email lellington@smail.anc.edu.
