Dog Obedience Class

Beginning Obedience class for dogs 4 months to 12 months will be offered with the handler and dog working together in basic fundamentals. Older dogs may be evaluated in order to become eligible for the class.
Sits, sit-stays, down, down stays, recall (dog comes and sits in front of handler and returns to left side), standing for examination (wonderful for bathing, grooming, veterinarian checks) leading in several formations, socialization skills, training as a companion dog and a well-mannered dog for the home.
Following the 8 week course, graduation will be held with trophies and diplomas being awarded. Dick Hefner, a professional trainer with over 25 years of training over 750 dogs, will serve as the instructor. Some of these dogs have received several titles. He also trains therapy dogs.
