Whole Lot of Shakin’ Goin’ On…

There’s a “whole lot of shaking goin’ on” at Arkansas Northeastern College. The Dept. of Community Education is offering Ballroom Dance: “Dancing Like the Stars” and Country & Western Advanced Line Dance and Couple Dancing. Come join the fun!

 

Kiss those two left feet goodbye and —swing into fall!  “Dancing Like the Stars” is the perfect introduction to ballroom dancing.  Get ready to have lots of FUN and be  prepared for the holiday season!  The instructor has been dancing for 6 years and learned to dance from an Arthur Murray dance instructor.  Ballroom dance will meet for its first session Monday, Jan. 26 – Feb. 23, 7 – 8:30 p.m. and teach the Fox Trot & Waltz. Second session will meet Monday, Mar. 2 – 30, 7 – 8:30 p.m. and will teach the East Coast Swing & Cha Cha. Both classes meet for four sessions in the Statehouse Governors Ballroom on the ANC main campus. The fee is $100 a couple and $40 single.

 

Country & Western Line dancing is great for the mind, body and spirit!  Grab a friend and come learn such favorites as the Cut a Rug, Bop the B, Sea legs, Fly Like a Bird, Cajun Cross, Desperado Slide, Berlin Boogie, Good Time, Come Dance With Me, Lady Soul, Some Beach, Shake It up  and more.  The Advanced Line Dance class will meet for 8 sessions on Mon., Jan. 26 – Mar. 16, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Clean Fun Club at Walker Park in Blytheville. The fee is $69.

 

Dance the country & western couple dances that are taking the country by storm.  Learn the 6 Step, 2 Step, Polka, Cotton-Eyed Joe, Waltz, 10-Step Polka, Sweetheart Schottische, Easy Stroll, Cowboy Cha-Cha, Traveling Cha-Cha, My Kind of Girl, Rose, Butterfly Waltz, East and West Coast Swing, The Bump, Butterfly Waltz, Waltz Across Texas, & MORE! Enroll by couples only. Class will meet Tues., Jan. 27 – Mar. 17, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Clean Fun Club at Walker Park in Blytheville. The fee is $69 a couple.
